Contest Registration Page

What was the prompt?

A local breakfast restaurant, Wake & Brekkie, is collaborating with John Legend for a once in a lifetime contest. The winner gets a free Eggs Benedict meal with John Legend himself. I was hired to create the Sign up Page.

How my designs started out

How it went

My first desktop version received criticism about the lack of focus on John Legend who is the biggest draw of the contest. I made changes, adding John Legend to the background looking at both the eggs and the form, but it lacked cohesiveness in the design.

With my final design (seen at the top), John Legend remains the focus of the form and the eggs are subtely incorporated on the form. Additionally, the textbox with the contest information and rules were removed to reduce the amount of content on the form. The submit button was made more visible with the blue color since the orange button lacked contrast against the peach-orange background of the form. This way users can more easily see the button to send their information.

I proceeded to create a mobile version of it for the prompt as well to showcase how the form would look on smaller screens
